Greetings everyone,
It is my pleasure to represent the 48th Assembly District in the California State Legislature. This term serves as my 8th year as a Legislator in the California State Assembly. It is an honor to serve over 498,000 residents in our district and collaborate with nine cities in the San Gabriel Valley. I am excited to share our 2024 January Newsletter and ensure our communities stay up-to-date with state-related matters.

Azusa's 125th Anniversary
Congratulations to the City of Azusa on their 125th Anniversary. It was a wonderful time to look back on the history and accomplishments the city has achieved for residents in the #fighting48th!
Assemblywoman Rubio Honors California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Davila
Thank you, Officer Davila, for your selfless acts of service and for continuing to make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents across the San Gabriel Valley. It was an honor to recognize California Highway Patrol Officer Davila as a Community Hero in the #fighting48th.
2023 Public Service Award
It was an honor to receive the 2023 Public Service Award from Autism Speaks. As a lifelong educator, I understand the importance of prioritizing the well-being of individuals with autism. I look forward to continuing to advocate for our students in California.
2024 Young Legislators Program
The 2024 Young Legislators Program officially began. Our students had a great time learning about the importance of financial literacy. Thank you to the SCE Credit Union for partnering with my office to ensure our students are prepared for their future.
25th Annual San Gabriel Valley Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr
What an honor it was to attend the 25th Annual San Gabriel Valley Tribute to Martin Luther King in the City of West Covina. Thank you to the SGV NAACP for bringing our community together to commemorate Dr. King’s legacy. May we continue to work towards a more inclusive society and equal opportunity for all across the 48th Assembly District.
International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Thank you, Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, for hosting a Community Commemoration and Vigil on International Holocaust Remembrance Day. As a proud California Legislative Jewish Caucus member, I will continue advocating for the Jewish community and stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters.
Legislative Update
First day of Session
We are back in session. 2024 marks the beginning of my 8th year as a Legislator in the California State Assembly. For 26 years, I have dedicated my life to serving our communities across the San Gabriel Valley. I look forward to working with my sister, Senator Susan Rubio, and colleagues to continue advocating for our communities.
