(Sacramento) – Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio (D-Baldwin Park) forcefully denounced the decision by the White House to rescind the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program during debate on House Resolution 66 in the State Assembly. HR 66 condemns the President’s decision to eliminate the DACA program and calls on Congress to pass a new version immediately. During her remarks Assemblywoman Rubio shared her personal history of being deported as a child and makes clear the moral obligation California has to the 220-thousands Dreamers who contribute daily to our communities and economy.
