Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio Declares March as Endometriosis Awareness Month

(Sacramento) – Endometriosis is a process in which extra tissue grows outside of the uterine wall, and into places it doesn’t belong. This debilitating disease causes painful cramping, excessive bleeding, and has been linked to cases of infertility. Endometriosis affects more than six million American women every year, and so far there is no known cure. That’s why Assemblymember Blanca E. Rubio is declaring March Endometriosis Awareness Month. “It is my hope that greater awareness will lead to women to early diagnosis, better treatment and a better quality of life,” says Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio (D-Baldwin Park).   Watch this Assembly Access video to learn more about ACR 175, and what’s being done to help women who are suffering from Endometriosis.
